• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Inspection decal location suggestions?

Currently my Texas inspection sticker is on a little bracket the dealer installed below my license plate. I would like to get one of those LED American flags to go on the rear fender below the license plate but need a place for the inspection sticker. Does anyone have any good suggestions of a different bracket or location that works well on an RT for the inspection decal?

Sticker Location

In PA I have mine placed on the right front shock, the only draw back from that location is if you would want to change the shocks out for a different brand.

Thanks,
Bob

Does Texas stipulate the location for that sticker?
I've put mine on the LH lower A-arm cover...
(Kind of where New York says it has to go...)

I'm generally one who would it to be on something that is specific for it and can be removed without marring the stock bike surface. Nothing comes to mind, so the next best option may be the wind deflector at the base of the windshield left or right.

Also, you might want to check with Texas law to confirm you have options other than the license plate holder. The law may dictate your options.

How about.....

How about on the under carriage maybe the bottom of the swing arm
so the cop has to lay on the ground and roll under to see it... hahahahahahahahh:thumbup:

I'm in Va. There are some limitations, but found I can have mine mounted to the black plastic drive belt guard (driver side).

When we lived in PA

I convinced them to allow me to add an aluminum plate to a front fork of my BMW to put the sticker on. It took some convincing, but they did allow it. Of course, it has been more than 30 years ago.

Depends..!

we don't have them here, believe it or not, but how big is it and how ugly..?? Technically it has to be easily viewable by law enforcement. Good suggestions above. Try to keep it where it won't be chipped up by road rocks and sand or soiled up to be unreadable..if you have not placed it on the vehicle they may stop you and make you put it on a place of their choice...good luck..

I would just get a plate that is big enough to hold the new flag and still extend below it for the sticker.

I have been through 4 or 5 that have cracked the plate or plate and inspection completely gone missing....last time I found the plate cracked I pulled the inspection plate off and put in the frunk
