• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CHECK THE NUMBERS ON YOUR DEALER PAPERWORK!

Way too much misinformation on this issue since the start of the problem,
We need everyone on the same page in the same book.

from BRP recall page https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/ca/e...323.180000917.1702337745-997109072.1702337744

Thank you for the information, and I totally agree that we should all be on the same page. Unfortunately, BRP does not seem to agree. Every online parts fiche I can find does NOT show the front sprocket as having a washer.

Slightly off topic, but it does concern the front sprocket. Yesterday a jacked my 2024 RT L up, rear tire off of floor, to spin rim and find valve and check air pressure, while spinning tire there is a metallic rubbing noise coming from the front sprocket. Did not make the noise in full 360% rotation, only about 180% or more. I suspected a loose shield or guard but could not find or see one. Any ideas what is causing the noise? Cannot hear it during a ride, even a very slow ride in driveway.

Check the "belt tensioner" bearing. You don't want any motion on the roller other than rotating. No side to side motion etc. My 2023 tensioner started making noise around 15k miles so I took it off. I can feel zero difference with or without the tensioner on the spyder.

Mystery solved! Jacked up Spyder, rotated rear wheel noise is gone. Might have been road debris stuck next to front sprocket?

If you spin the tire in the direction of forward travel, it's less likely to have belt wander and rub on the pulley, either front or back. If spinning in reverse, the belt can wander off track slightly, and if you get off and look at it, it will make you think it needs adjustment.
