• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In the news

From the article: "Spyder sales rose 50% in 2011, and BRP now ranks sixth in U.S. cycle sales."

Hear that BRP?!?! If you improve your dealer network and more customers happier, you can go higher!!!;)

Thanks, Mike!
They seem to slowly be coming around to accepting these bikes as more than just oddities...

Interesting

Bain Capital, huh.

Does that mean that all the private market, capitalism bashing libs are gonna sell their Spyders??

Doubt it.

Why does someone always have to bring politics into every single discussion. Sick of it. Feels like someone is always trying to pick a fight.

I love the people can hate on everything while typing behind a computer screen but to someones face they are chicken.. yeah sorry I didnt drink my hateraid this morning and idiots are frosting my chaps .

Interesting information. I did not like the reference to the fact that it appeals to the "infirm, the inexperienced, and those that are too old" to ride other types of motorcycles. The other information was pretty good though. They also had the $25,000 top price wrong.

Interesting article. Some way wrong info..... but some good points made also.

BRP is moving other manufacturing to Mexico in order to beef up Spyder production in Canada. Sales are far exceeding their wildest dreams.. and they've had some growing pains pertaining to their dealer network.

Hopefully this will get better as more dealers can open and make some $$$.

I'd seriously consider a career change and opening a Spyder dealership... but I'd prefer not to carry all the other BRP products....

it's my understanding that you don't have to carry any brp products to have the spyder line. it stands on it's own!

If manufacturing is skipping the US and jumping into Mexico,,,BRP will not see anymore of my dollars. Guess a Victory is in my future.

I have never bought a motorcycle or car to please anyone but myself. I love my spyder. I rode sport bikes for 8 years and fell in love with the spider a year before I bought it.
To each his own. What a sad world this would be if everyone had all the same things:shocked::shocked::shocked:
The weekend riders are a trip, guess they think they are hell's angels and only certain bikes can be on the road.
Well to them, We are here and riding:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:
They just don't know what they are missing:):):):):)

I had no idea what fun a Spyder could be until I owned one. I see that as the major issue with two-wheeled riders attitude towards the :spyder2:. Just my .02

China

I guess we know that Bob doesn't believe in people being allowed to have a different opinion than his.

Maybe you want us all to wear the same color shirts too...

Were you a hall monitor growing up?

Actually no; but they always knew exactly where I was at all times!
Hey... Lighten up; we're here for some laughs and our common interests. Most everybody here can tell you exactly what type of joker I am... :opps: But that doesn't mean that I won't step up to the plate and call a troll a troll if the need arises...
"De-Troll" yourself and start having some fun with the rest of us!

After all; time is short... Firefly and I have actually agreed on over THREE things in just one month... :yikes: :roflblack:
