In Russia, Spyder not so common

I was on a ride this weekend and pulled into a stop at the summit of our mountain passes. (Berthoud Pass for anyone wondering).

There was a big tour bus and quite a few folks milling around taking in the scenery. Heads turned as I pulled up in the Spyder and folks began asking questions about it and taking pictures or having their picture taken with it. Now I know how it feels to be a rock star.



Turns out the tourists were from Russia and not many of them have ever seen a Spyder in real life. Although, they do seem to have a BRP dealer. http://www.rosan.com/catalog/rodsteri-spyder/

I have a Spyder rented for use in Maui, Hawaii later this summer. I am looking forward to interaction with the tourists as I go out and about. Supposedly, it is the only Spyder on the island.

Funny thing is I have had my Spyder on a few roads where I really could have used those tires. Uh, did I just admit that? :dontknow:
