Impactjackets...Who's interested?

Motza and I have been working with the owner of Impactjackets.com to perhaps work a deal for an order for a group of Spyderlovers.

There is a new jacket coming out in June that is supposedly much better than the current one (which I think is very good in its own right).

Anyway, I'd like to get an early feel as to how many people would be interested in getting the safest riding jacket possible?? The costs are not set yet but we're looking at the $500.00 range. This coat will have the fastest air release...the army and many police depts. are buying it.

I think we could get an exceptional deal if we have enough people. The factory/office is down the road from me and I have planned to get together with the owner to discuss the product and what he'd work out for us here. In addition, we'd probably want special print on the coat...something Spyder-related....

Please reply if you're potentially interested.

Thanks, but no thanks. Look like they would be far too hot. I really like my mesh. I found it strange that 1/2 the videos they have show the riders riding without the arms on the jackets--- BARE ARMED--- doesn't seem to jive with their whole 'safety' idea.

I'm sure it's fun to sneak up on a friend and pull the cord though!

I had one of the original ones a few years back but it got stolen one day.I have to say it took me a while to get used to having it on as for many times I would get off the bike and forgot to disconnect the line and of course you all know what happen when I did not. I never replaced it because of price so depends on what the final price is I might want to get another one.

All we want to do right now is get an informal count of those interested...

We'll get the product info soon and go from there...I figure the more, the merrier...can drive the price lower...

As far as the earlier generation jackets, they work differently now...you can't set it off unless you are tossed off your bike!

I contacted them before with a question and they sent me a discount code and didn't answer the question. I asked why they didn't make a smaller size than large. I needed a smaller size for the gf.

That won't be an issue...my point is that with a big order, we can probably make a few requests that will be honored, without a problem...

I'd be interested in seeing a mesh version. I love both of my leather jackets so no need for a third. See if they can make a jacket with a built in poodle harness :2thumbs:
