• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Image editing

I could still use the help. This is about the limit of my ability. for the coloration above, i made a layer, tiled a sparkly candy apple red image then applied an image mask to that layer to only show the section i painted and applied some transparency. For the gray, same as above, but desaturated the tiled red layer.

the steampunk was a simple cut, paste, and rotate, and certainly not the final way I'd want it to look. Just a quick hack job to get the idea.

Well, I'm pretty good at basic photo editing stuff. I use Corel Photoshop Pro.

I REALLY like you gears and clockworks added to the side panel! That seems to me to pretty much tell the story! :2thumbs: :firstplace:

Now, should I do a wrap... Or get a transparent side panel and put a inch or REAL gears behind it, connected to a small motor so they all actually turn and stuff? :joke:

The real gears would be cool and a great talking point, but a little involved to pull off.

The gear warp look nice, I bet that would look really nice on a lava bronze spyder with all the silver and brass colors.

wish I could find something I'm really happy with that doesn't involve a ton of painting.

I do find it funny that my wife thinks "steampunk" isnt "geeky" enough. :P

Thinking outside of the box often gives you the perspective you need to find the answers.
You're certainly showing the imagination that you'll need to get the job done!

Really nice work!!!I'd buy a version of the steampunk in a second!!!:2thumbs:

I'm using Arc Photostudio 6 software,it's pretty good stuff.
