I'm Still Your Token Two-Wheeler, But I've Just Been Upgraded

That's right.

I've got an additional 800cc's of bike underneath me now.

My new ride is a 2013 Yamaha FJR1300. She's a beaut. I got her with two miles on the odo on Saturday, and I'm already pushing 100.

Since the tires are new, they have mold release on them, and I need to break in the engine, plus . . . it is a much bigger bike.

Shel followed me on my first ride. We took one of our standard routes, and she saw more breaklight action from me than . . . well . . . ever.

I plan on having a long relationship with the new lady, so I'm not going to push her too hard. Not yet, anyway

Actual ice or snow on the road will prevent me from coming, but that's about it.


In other thoughts, I'm still trying to come up with a name for the bike. Shel has suggested "Wilbur" (her Spyder is named "Charlotte"), but the bike is simply not a pig.
