• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm peed myself

"Crabbed" landings are the only solution to strong crosswinds, as the aircraft is flying through the air mass, and relationship to the ground only matters when you actually are on the ground. I've seen some that made these look easy!

Amazing..!!N

for those who aborted hope they made it...for those that landed they had amazing pilots...have only landed that way once as a passenger and it is not as smooth as it looks from the outside...our stewardess said "we have landed" followed by a round of applause...:yikes:

Super Heavies DC10, 777, 747, 787, C5 Galaxy, B52 etc. have rotating trucks. They can land in a stiff cross wind. Sitting in the jump seat on landing looking straight ahead seeing cockpit and grass while the runway is 18 degrees to your starboard will tighten your a$$ real quick. Been there.

It seemed that the "Triple-Seven" was a lot more stable than the other aircraft when put in thses situations...

The 777 ( slightly more evil than 666 :roflblack:) has a highly sophisticated flight control system.

When I showed the video to the Missue; she rmeinded me that she had a langing in Albany once that looked about like that! :yikes: :barf:
