• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I wanted to let you know that I was going home today. My husband is driving from Charleston, SC and I will drive his pilot back and he's driving the bike. I'm diabetic and I haven't been able to eat much of anything since tuesday. Malt crackers, nekot wafers, things like that. Even at Lamont's bbq I couldn't eat. I don't know what's wrong - prob excitement from meeting all the people I have. I had a great time at Lamont's bbq yesterday. Met a lot of great people and had shocks and air dam installed. Really nice people all around. I'm sorry I will be unable to attend the rest of the weekend. I wish everyone well and hope you all ryde safe!!!

Glad you got to meet some of us. Also VERY glad you know when your body is telling you something AND you pay attention.

Save travels.

:gaah: sorry to hear you are not feeling well. hope it is nothing serious. take good care;)

I'm a Type 2 Diabetic, low carbing to keep my sugars in check, and road trips can be a trial. Last time at Lamont's BBQ, I told him my issue ahead of time, and the sauce was on the side. Thank you Lamont!!

There are more diabetic 1's and 2's SpyderLovers than you think. Learning how your body reacts to different situations is the name of the game. :2thumbs:

Going home

Made it home safely about 1am this morning - husband on the :spyder2: got here about 1:20. Did make it to the owners event for about an hour. Saw a bunch of people I had seen at the bbq and some beautiful spyders in the competition. I'm glad I got to the event for a while with my hubby. Actually ate a hot dog! The hubby is also a type 2 diabetic on an insulin pump (has pancreatic exhaustion - no longer makes insulin for the diabetically challenged!!!) He left the house in such a hurry he fortgot test strips! But we both made it ok. Thanks for all the support from fellow ryders!!! Great group of people to be a part of!!!:yes::yes:

Glad I got to meet you, but sorry I did not know you weren't feeling well. I am very happy to hear you made it home safely, and hope you are feeling much better now. Try to stay out of this heat for a while if you can, it is terrible right now.

Thanks!!!

Good to finally meet you also - haven't been on the bike since I got home. Too hot to even think about it. 1 thing I like about the cage - AC!!!

That is very understandable right now. The heat is a killer and we had a heat index of 103 again today. Take care of yourself.
