I decided to play hookey and pick up my 2012 Spyder RT SE5 Limited today... A day early to beat the yucky rain predicted for Sat here in Dallas..
The pickup at the dealer went pretty smooth. The was one hiccup in that they had problems with the latch mechanism for the glove box even after replacing it. The lid would close and open but once open had to manually reset the latch for to to close again. They will order a new one. BUT, it now seems to be working fine for me.
The ride home was fine with just a little rain and only 11 miles so ok for my first time on the street with a bike. Got a couple more miles in around the neighborhood before the rains moved in. Was able to get out later for a little night riding around town. After 35 miles on day 1, I'm actually feeling somewhat comfortable on it. And NO codes from riding the brake. Yahoo!!!
Thanks to the folks on this forum for answering questions, giving encouragement and support during my purchase process.
Attached are some pics. At least I hope so cause I'm not sure if I'm doing it right with Tapatalk.
