• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm a happy bunny.....

Direction indicators (Flashers)! The stock US arrangement is not acceptable in the
U.K. as there is not enough horizontal separation and red flashers are a no-no so they
come with that modification.

Also I get the auxiliary lights thrown in as well because 'shutter dip beam' is not
legal here, so the aux. lights are set up as dip beams. Why the hell they can't simply use a twin filament
lamp is beyond me!

I kind of like your direction indicators. Would definitely be safer at night especially if you can make them into a run-brake-turn light. The more rear lighting the better. I've been doing more and more night driving and would like to increase mine. Maybe this should be a new thread but is anyone thinking of switching out their brake light bulbs with a brighter LED bulb?

Looking forward to hear your take on the F3, OJ!

Congrats! Now it's "Farkle Time"! What's the first addition going to be?

I think you speak in jest!! I have the Blue Ridge screen and I may just possibly add an X-Creen.
I am now verging on bankruptcy so if I have enough money left to actually put some fuel in the tank
(Remember! $6 a gallon over here!) I will consider myself fortunate!

More Trivia....

It seems that I'm the first registered owner of an F3 in the UK!! :ohyea::ohyea::yes::yes:

mmmmmmmm.........It's being delivered tomorrow!!!

Do I see caps on the rear axle? I didn't get caps on mine. Waaaa... :gaah: Guess I need to chat with Lamonster and get some Farkle caps all the way around.

Or are those the caps that go on the inside front axles?

Nice colour which contrasts with the orange (Can-am red) frame. That's the colour I'd go for.

How many people have bought F3s in GB now?

Hmmmmm......I have no exact figures but I think it may be 20+ by now...

For those who don't use FaceBook here are a couple more pics:

Geoff love the pics of your Spyder and I am looking forward to meeting you when I get my Spyder which will be around xmas/new year. My Spyder will be the same colour as yours too.
At present getting all my clothing, can you recommend any bike shops in Maidstone or surrounding areas where I can get a good jacket for cold weather, gloves, wet gear etc? Visiting Maidstone at end of August and want to visit some good bike gear shops.

Darren, spend a bit of time online and decide what you want before you go in a shop. A good site is www.motolegends.com. They sell everything you need. It is possible to have a look at and try on their goods in their store which isn't far from London. Surrey, I think. A bit of a hike. Don't buy the first bit of rubbish a bike shop pushes on to you.

Darren, I generally shop for bike gear at GetGeared. There's a shop in Leeds! The Held (German) range is good and if you buy on line they do free returns.
However I thoroughly recommend going into a store...in my experience the staff are knowledgeable and keen to assist.
Take a look at their great lines of clothing here....:http://www.getgeared.co.uk/?gclid=C...V-_xcxhk1TajHbRUFtJ5l-pZ220x4nj6K0aAmnz8P8HAQ
Look forward to meeting you at some point!

The one or two bike shops in the Maidstone area are IMHO overpriced and I don't use them.

Thank you XB12X and OJ UK. Get Geared is about 15 minutes walk from where I live and I bought my first bike helmet from there a few weeks ago, which is a Caberg Duke flip helmet. Lady at Get Geared was really helpful and she fitted pin lock on my helmet. I would like to compare prices for bike clothing between bike shops and certainly online too. I will now checkout website motolegends thanks for the link XB12X.
