Ignition switch cover

Has anyone ever replaced there ignition switch cover,and if so how do they come off. All of the letters are worn off so I am replacing it with a new one. Thanks.

My F3 ignition cover came off by simply twisting it. I think Lamonster has a video showing the removal for one of his fog light kits.

I just went out to give it a twist,but I can not get my fingers in there very good. I wonder if I can pop it off with a screw driver.but I am not sure if that is a good idea or not. I am picking the new one up tomorrow from the dealership, I guess I will have to ask them to be on the safe side.

I definitely wouldn't force it with a screwdriver but with the F3 model, the black ring rotates to the left or CCW one quarter turn and then lifts off. What model do you have?

Well thanks that did work with needle nosed pliers. A slight turn to the left and pull up there she was off.
