If you had to do it all over again. Would you give up riding all together or get a spyder or some other kind of 3 wheeler and enjoy life ?

This was not my situation. I can still ride 2 wheels and still own an M109R. I got the Spyder to have fun. And I'd do it again.

But if I were in a ride or no ride situation. That would be a no-brainer. I'd get the Spyder and never look back!

In a heartbeat....

Did not see one till 2012 guess I was never in the right place at the right time but would have got one back in 2008. Did not have issues then but now that I do I am glad to have my RS....:ohyea:

Like the others, did not buy my Spyder because I could not ride a 2 wheeler. I can, I MUCH prefer the fun on the Spyder.

Didn't have to switch,

but the feeling of increased safety and visibility for the wife and I did it.

Spyder

I almost did give up riding, but buddies talked about the Can-Am Spyder. Lots of looking and talking changed my mind. I'm a happy Spyder owner.

Still have 2 wheels----- an old, slow, ill handling, modified V-Max. Still ride it when I'm alone or with buddies on 2 wheels. Just have that need for light speed when the V-boost hits. Got the :spyder2: for touring and trips with my wife. She has vertigo and the tilting of the motorcycles brought it on. She is just fine with the :spyder2:, great in fact. The :spyder2: tracks straight and true with no vibes and is a pleasure on the road.

It's to bad that some here had such a hard time getting to like their :spyder2:.

RIDE - NO RIDE

:agree: I started riding 60 yrs. ago .......too many bikes to remember ...... as I got older my tastes changed .....the last 15 yrs ( before the Spyders ) I got into Large Cruisers , BMW's & Wings .... I was slowly developing Equilibrium issues and I saw the writing on th ewal ( so to speak ). I did have a great open air experience with my AC Cobra, but it wasn't a Mtc...... Test rode the Spyder and was hooked .....The Cobra no longer gets much use now .......... I love the Spyders sooooooo much I wouldn't go back to Two wheels even if I could ..............Mike

I have a Valkyrie and bought the RTS to ride when the wife comes along. Now she rides the Spyder by herself and I still ride the Valkyrie

Well said my friend. If I still had all the bikes I bought and traded or sold. I could sell them and take a well needed vacation. Happy Trails. Ride Safe ---- Ride Often :riding:

If I had it to do over again, I would have kept the Suzuki T-500J and the Norton 850 Interstate but otherwise I wouldn't have changed much at all.

But when it comes to riding three wheels or not riding at all, it's three wheels for us. Even though we still have a pair of two wheelers, they'll leave the fleet long before our Spyders. In fact, the Spyders will end up being part of our estate. Let the executor worry about where they go! ;)

:agree: Still have 2 Yamaha venture royals sitting in my garage, planned on still riding them. After purchasing the Spyder, the first year the venture never was ridden, not the send or the third, so no I sold one to my brother and am storing it for him, but no insurance or plates on them.
The Spyder is just too much fun!

I might have kept my Tourist Trophy 500, and my TransAlp... :D

But I STILL would have bought the Spyder!

I have had way to much fun over the years. I started the MC thing in the 60's--when they still had the "outlaw" reputation.

It just got into my blood. Have had "everything" from 80 cc to 2000 cc V-twin. Three large tourers and since 2008, five Spyders.

They all have their charm. My most recent spyder, (a 2014 RT RT-S) is still keeping me happy. I have so far avoided the BRP kool aid to "upgrade." I do not like the ergos of the F3. The looks are something else though.

I am still awaiting a real upgraded RT with a different engine. The 1330 is not bad--but I want bigger. So far, I am tempted by the new Gold Wing and think I would give the Yamaha Eluder a look--were I in the market. Price is now a factor also. If BRP wants $35K--they better have something besides a new color to wow me aboard. I can get the others mentioned for less than $25K.

So far...still happy, but waiting for maybe one more "new" bike. :bbq::bbq::bbq:

I don't need faster. Like Captain Kirk would say--just "more power Scotty." And...its time for a "refreshing" of the RT.

I like my RT's a LOT. Just time for something "different."

Want 2 Spyders can"t afford it

Ok I too have ridden for 50 plus years. Met wife who rode her own bike. As we got older could not see riding 2up for safety reasons.

Sold everything and got a spyder. Had other 3 wheelers previously with our 2 wheelers. She hates riding behind me on the spyder

and wants her own. Ok heres the kicker. We live in beautiful BC Canada. (BC bring cash.) We just renewed our insurance policy

on a 2016 RTS. Please sit DOWN. $1700.00 for one year. To cover the Spyder for about $30,000. Plus BC is so screwed up with

its insurance claims they are having to raise rates, so enjoy and ride like crazy. Yes I pray daily for BRP to bring out a $10,000

basic spyder. But here in Canada it will be more. I also want to see what the compition brings out, hopefully before I'm to old

to enjoy riding. Hope this post brings a smile to you as you enjoy your Spyders. Bob ;)
