• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you see this Spyder..........

I wish I'd gotten a photo with my Spyder facing off with the VW Spyder. The fellow in the pic is my riding buddy, who was getting photos for BMWMOA coddiewomple contest.

Also a former beetle owner. Had a new 68 bug, bought a used 62 microbus--top highway speed was 55. Also had a 76 microbus--bought new. That was the only one I did not like. It had a lot of mechanical issues. The shifter came out of the floor one time.

To bad that 62 is gone. They are worth upwards of $100,000 these days.

My first car was a 1966 Beetle 1300 bought new 2 days before my wedding. I taught myself how to drive a manual transmission as I drove this new car home to my apartment. This was my only car until I had to accept that it was just too small for a family of four plus a big dog. I owned it for over 6 years and only had one mechanical repair in all that time. I smile when I think that my 2021 RT has a bigger engine than what I had in the first car.

.

We grow the VW spyders big in Nevada..........
