I've been reading Speculative Fiction since the mid-60's when my mother forced me to do a book report for extra credit when I got a "C" in English in the sixth grade (first non-"A" ever <sigh>). So after all the above comments I'm really looking forward to this, and will report back on my adventures.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Be sure to get a good proofreader for the upcoming book. Does the publishing company proofread what they publish??? I don't know. But I did find 4 or 5 syntax errors and a missing word or two. IT DID NOT DETRACT FROM THE BOOK AT ALL!!
It's funny how the human brain will magically understand what is being written even when a letter or word is missing.

Lew - Thanks for the catches and for the kind words. I don't doubt a word you said, but believe it or not I actually I used the MS grammar and spell checker, and a good friend of mine who is a retired legal secretary and a stickler for these things proofread the book TWICE and neither of us caught them. All I can say in my defense is that it's hard to catch everything in a book is 385 pages long. It's also possible I may have deliberately chosen bad grammar a couple of times as part of the story. One mistake that someone else noticed was a reference to "Mason Travis" when the character's name in the story was actually "Mason Brown." Well, maybe one of these days I'll re-edit it and fix everything but right now I'm busy trying to edit the sequel, Battle for Zarmina.
