• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Transport Canada Recall # 2013288

Recall Date 2013/08/28
Notification Type Safety Mfr
System Brakes
Manufacturer Recall Number
Units Affected 2,380
Category 3 Wheel Motorcycle
Recall Details
On certain Can-Am Spyder RT series and Spyder ST series roadsters, heat build-up in the area of the brake master cylinder could cause the manifold inlet (a plastic cover on top of the master cylinder) to melt. This could cause a brake fluid leak, which may result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install heat reflecting shields.

The recall is for Canada only. BRP is making the repairs worldwide...:dontknow:

From what BRP said each governing body has to approve the fix. Canada just moves faster than the US on getting the approval back to BRP so they can start the recall. I'm sure our government will be reacting soon. It's not BRP but our own government that is holding up our spyders getting fixed. Penny:ani29:
