There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks again Steve--somewhere I had read of a dealer charging almost $200 thus I thought I needed to go to BRP directly. Not the case my ASK Powersports in Columbus has ordered the part for me at the same $34.99 + tax--total will be $37.xx. That's a fair dealer. They claim the roller assy will be available in 5-7 days for pick up at the ASK PowerSports location. I am very interested in seeing the difference from my current aftermarket roller assy purchase. Has anyone else have a Smooth Spyder or Baker Built roller assy that they have replaced with the new BRP design? Feedback if you've done so. Thank you.

They aren't generally available yet, Nasty, apart from a few beta versions that have been installed for testing. I have preordered for Australia and they expect them to be here around late October.

BRP Steve, thanks for the info on the F3 idler wheel kits. This is a good step in the right direction for BRP. I am on my second RTS, the first was a 2010 and my present one is a 2014. lets face it, I believe all spyders have belt vibration at certain speeds and would all benefit from idler wheels. With any mechanical equipment, vibration is not a good thing. Over the long term, components are stressed and prone to failure. I am sure most of us simply avoid the speed and RPM's where our individual spyders vibrate the most. As mentioned in other post, tightening or loosening the belt will simply move the vibration one way or the other.
Is the vibration on an RT a deal breaker? Of course not, we all learn to ride and adapt to the short comings of our machines and it becomes 2nd nature for us. It would be great for BRP to continue to address this issue to help us out.

"belt vibrations felt by some" Should Read: belt vibrations felt by all.
Of course we know corporate has to tip toe around saying too much. I understand.

BRP flaw on F3 vibration
Of course BRP has recognized the vibration problem on the F3. I agree since it seems to be a mfg flaw, they should install the Idler Wheel Kit at their cost. Dream on, BRP is greedy. Why do you think all their accessories are double & triple the price of what we pay in the after market world. But if we don't buy it from BRP, they void our warranty. They don't care about the customer but they sure take our US dollars. Not fair!

I have read about all the different vibration dampeners out there but I was wondering about how well each holds up. How long do they last and who has had failures and what happens when they do fail. Do the bearings ever go out. It seems that the small size of some of the pulleys would make them have to run at a very high RPM.

Considering the BRP one is $35 and the others are $200 - $300 this should make the decision pretty easy. You could replace the BRP one many times for the price of one of the others.
I've used the others and the BRP one flat out works better.
