• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Great Wall is huge. When I was there I was surprised. It is wide enough to drive a full sized pickup on. And some places it is really steep. There was a sign on a pedestal near the wall: "WRITING ON THE ANCIENT WALL IS A BREACH OF CIVILITY." The writing was in English.

I really like your method of "Recreationalizing" it! :2thumbs:
All that they need, is a shooting gallery, and they'd be well on their way to another disney World Franchise operation. :D

Can you believe this thing is I think about 3000miles long and built by slave labor rock by rock. Very humbling to see it. Can be seen from satellite. It is that big.

And it didn't work at keeping out the barbarians. They just bribed the guards and walked right through!!

My wife visited it four years ago...she said it was one of the most amazing things she's ever seen! She also said some parts of it are so steep it's almost impossible to walk on.

There are some great artifacts to still be seen from ancient times. I do hope that they do not get modernized.

I like to see the ancient petroglyphs that have been painted on rocks by the early Native Americans. Good examples can be found in Nevada around Valley of Fire State Park.

Have also been privileged to see some in the northern MN Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. These are reached by paddle and portage only. I have seen petroglyphs in three locations there.

walls

the one thing i used to love doing when i hunted was walking in the woods and finding old houses and glass and cars or what ever i came across. i can remember being in the Adirondacks up by white face mountain and i was sitting on a rock taking a breather and i saw what looked like a large steel ring sticking out of the ground. as i sat there and keep looking i saw it was a old wagon. each of the steel rings had a wood center hub sitting at the bottom of them plus a center wood strut and the piece that went between the horses. i also found the foundation to a old house and tons of rock walls that were built. i love finding stuff like that
