There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ice or Wetter?

Which is better? wow, a rhyme:clap: I'm thinking of going with one or the other (Engine Ice, Water Wetter) and need opinions, pros and cons on them.
Thanks

Be careful with either. They do not provide nearly as much anti-freeze protection. Living in a freezing climate, like you do, that is important...even in unheated storage. If you are having serious overheating problems as far north as you are, you may have to lok for the reason rather than a band-aid.

Engine Ice for me. Antifreeze protection to 26 below zero and great cooling properties. No issues in NC during the wintertime in my truck, bike or Spyder.

Not having overheating problems, but with the temps as high as they've been this year, I've seen 6 and 7 bars for the first time, and several times since. I'm not too worried about freezing, Spyder is usually on blocks in a heated garage except on warm days in the winter(30+). I guess I'm after some peace of mind when the temp is above 90 and I get stuck in traffic. Just wondering about other's opinions.
Dealer recommends Ice, I'm at the coin-flip point.
Thanks, Dave and Scotty.

I just use plain ol' green anti-freeze and, after 25,000 have never seen 7 bars. It has been a bit on the warm side here, too (vast understatement). I'm not sure changing anti-freeze is the solution to you high temps. IMHO

Water Wetter

I have used water wetter but I can not tell you that it does what it claims but it makes me feel good that it is in there. I can not imagine that adding a few ounces will change the freeze temps of antifreeze. I would think only 2 ounces for our Spyders coolant. That much or should I say little will not dilute the anti freeze that much. But as I have said, I did use it but not lately and think it is not needed but changing anti freeze when required is important.

I don't know where you get your information, but Engine Ice is a great product, I've used the product in every bike I've ever owned and living in PA, our winters are just as cold as anywhere. As far as water wetter, it is to be used with distilled water and made mainly for tracks only where anti-freeze is prohibited.

The facts;
Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant is biodegradable, phosphate free & non-toxic; reduces operating race temperatures and effectively keeping boil over temperatures to 256 °F or less and freeze-up protection to -27° F.

Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant
is premixed with de-ionized water to protect your water cooling system from scarring, scaling and to effectively provide "prolonged optimum operating temperatures."

Either evoluzion.com or kewlmetal.com has a sensor and gauge that doesn't allow your Spyder to go over three bars. My bro had one on his 08 RS And it worked fantastic :) I been meaning on buying one for my 08 SE5 :)

I should have said that these products don't provide as much anti-freeze protection as normal coolants. That is a consideration in freezing climates. It can reach -30 here in Michigan. Fortunately, that doesn't happen often. Engine Ice and Water Wetter are good products, but they have limitations that need to be recognized. No product should be used where there is a chance it will be outside is working range.
