ice cream run

rode out to Ripley Ohio today for ice cream at Rockin Robin's. straight out US 52 east, along the Ohio river. Excellent ride, a little over an hour from my house. mickey fisher posted about this place last summer. it's a fifties style ice cream parlor, with a river view. what could be better? if any cincinnati ryders ever want to go, i'm in.

nothing exotic really. i think their thing is banana splits, sundaes, and shakes. if you ever come down this way, bob, we'll go. my treat:thumbup: the atmosphere is half of what makes it special.:thumbup:
the ironic part ,is i called stan this morning to go with me. little did i know he was laying in a hospital bed from his ordeal yesterday.

Did the same thing tonight. The Yogurt shop was 2 milles and it took me an hour to get there. One of those draw your own yogurt and add toppings places. I just had peach yogurt. I save the toppings for my spyder. hyea:

We've got a place up here by me on Route 97 in Barryville, NY. 97 runs right along the easter side of the Delaware river, so that alone makes for a worthwhile ryde...
Back to the ice crean place; they've got a coffee & peanut butter shake that is worth a detour of a couple of hours and a hundred miles to experience... :firstplace:

That wouldn't happen to be Moo Thru in Remington? If so it took us 175 miles to get there this past Sunday via a long loop on the Skyline Drive!hyea:

Wife and I rode to shelbyville indiana and had turtle sundaes. Round trip was 252 miles. Sure was a beautiful day.

Yea, we also just did 120 mile loop on Saturday starting on the Skyline Drive west of Sperryville (went to the Dukes of Hazzard Homecoming first. ) then went south to Charlottesville and north through the backwoods to get home.

Ice Cream Run

You might try Ivanhoe's in Upland, IN, exit 59 on I-69, between Ft. Wayne & Indianapolis. They feature 100 different kinds of sundae's and 100 differnt shakes on their menu and I've never had one I didn't like.
