• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would like to make a request,

Has there been any consensus on the best way or place to apply the state inspection stickers yet? This topic may be old, but my Spyder is new(ish)... the state inspector that inspected my 2012 Spyder RS last week was clueless where the sticker should go; I put it in a bag with the registration information in the frunk for now.

:dontknow:

Lotta ugliness in this thread guys, I would hope Spyder owners would have each other's backs a little more than this.

It's a three year old thread. I'm sure things have changed.

There should be a plastic piece hanging below the rear license plate to put you inspection sticker on, like the pictures shown in this post. Maybe the previous owner took it off?

I keep my inspection sticker on the piece-o-plastic in the frunk. If someone wants to see it, I get it out.

In my case things have definitely changed. After having my Spyder worked on several times at different dealerships with only one mechanic actually knowing what he was doing ,I traded mine for a KLR-650 and some cash. I still lurk on this site from time to time and its obvious to me that there is still a need for better trained technicians.

Remember the problems you were having with your Spyder and the issues with getting it fixed. Understand why you switched rides, and would have done then same in your situation. The KLR-650 looks like alot of fun!

Why don't you come up for FlamingoBabe and HotGlue's BBQ around Memorial Day. Doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you show up... You're still family...

This is a old thread, is is possible that that metal license plate frame putting extra weight on the backing could of had a part in it breaking?

Yep, you nailed it,a bolt between the K and 5. I drilled a 3/16 hole put a bolt ,star washer and nut in that same spot 3 years ago after mine cracked. Problem solved.
