• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I will own one soon...if Julie says I can

I want a SLING SHOT WOW....:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I give it a big 10 thumbs up...

They are a cool looking machine. But, I have heard people say that they are a bit hard to get out of. Did you try one Dave?

What has prompted this enthusiasm?
Di you get a chance to sit in one, or maybe even DRIVE one?? :(
They DO look like a lot of fun; I'll stick with my RT.

It's tough on those of us waiting. All the dealers were sent 3 - one mandated for demos, and the other two for new owners. Unfortunately, I am #3 on the list...

there is a dealer on long island that is having demo rides in a couple of weeks, as soon as we find out when we are going, i just hope i can get in and out of it

Getting in one is easy :D...
Bring along a milk crate: climb up on it, and just FALL into it!
I haven't got the exit strategy figured-out yet...

Park under a tree with a large overhanging branch...
Once you stop; throw a rope up over the branch, and...

Wait! You better not; folks might think that you're getting lynched! :yikes:

Good luck..!!

hope you get the OK. You must have come in contact with one recently....:roflblack: had many old english sports car so that is out of my system..but have at it...

Once the after market solves the storage problem it will be on my radar. As is you can buy a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread with it (if you carry your helmet with you).:dontknow: Doesn't look like it will pass muster as a tourer...yet. Same engine as my GMC Terrain.

Dave,
Would a system like the one used on the T-Rex work? :dontknow:

I got in and out of them

At Myrtle Beach and Daytona and it seemed easier than my Camaro. Looking at pictures definitely don't do them justice. I had told myself how inefficient they are and that one wouldn't be right for me, but when I saw and sat in one all of those thoughts disappeared.

Maybe a replacement

For my Harley, but never could I imagine replacing my Spyder with anything other than another Spyder. If I could get my hands on one, I would have a Slingshot tomorrow and work out the details later.
