• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

There's a dealership less than 20 miles from me. Unfortunately, every time I've had work done there, I've had to finish the job myself.* Their tech is a bit lackadaisical. The next closest place is another 40 miles, about an hour away.

* This includes work I've already effed up. Oh, well.

It's hard to find a good tech, but when you do it don't matter how far he, or she is, use them! I will do most of my own work, but I know my limitations!

We came home from Escalante the other day, via Torrey, Loa, Salina, Gunnison, Manti, Ephraim, Moroni, Nephi, to Draper.

I know you are unfortunately far from a dealer, mine is three miles away, but what must make up for that is the beautiful valley and town you live in. That's a beautiful part of the world for sure.
You rode right by my house, too bad you didn't stop for a short break.

We were being chased by the rain. We set off from Torrey in bright sunshine and stopped for breakfast a few miles down the road. Then we came out and saw dark sky’s rapidity building from the south.

Having hit torrential rain going from the Hogback to Escalante, we started high tailing it home. We just pulled into out Garage in Draper as high winds and heavy rain started.

If you are ever in Draper, let us know, you are always welcome at our house. We have a spare bedroom and always happy for the company.

Ron - I agree with you 100% I want my dealer to succeed. I want to buy my next Spyder from them - (they let me ride a '26 RTL while my service was getting done, and dang, it was nice! (And, you guys can check their work in July when we stop by!) My dealer so far has been great to deal with and service has been great too. They have treated me right so I drive the 1.5 hrs to their location.

As always, love to see you!

It's not so much that we check the work of others. It's more that it's hard to miss when we get into a job.

We are currently doing a clutch on a 1330 that a customer brought to us. He had the dealer install a new clutch plate set but it didn't last very long. When we got into it, the inner steel plate was missing, making the first clutch plate in the assembly a friction plate. We were surprised that it worked at all as the inner friction plate had nothing to interface with on one side makeing it useless. And the clutch pack overall stack width is somewhat critica to proper function.

Even the best tech can make a mistake. But putting a friction plate in as the first one in the stack? I cannot think of an excuse for it.

Here is the magnetic drain plug we pulled from this machine.
