• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I wanna pegs

They are just right for me. I just made them out of some angle iron and welded a tab on the other side. I rest my heal on the top of the fin. I have a design for some highway pegs that will work better and be different than anything I've seen to date, just need some time to play with the idea and test it. :doorag:
I have an ESCI setup which did have some cruiser-boards but I recently replaced them with pegs. They offer some alternate positions but I still need something farther forward so I can stretch my legs out a bit. Yours look like just what the doc ordered. Let me/us know when you get the new designs. I could be interested.

I installed the Kewlmetal highway kit on an RT for a customer yesterday. The install went well, with some observations:
  • The instructions are great, its nice to have color photos and tool sizes included. All vendors should do this. And, there's videos too!
  • It helps to have the Spyder raised enough to get leverage on the torque wrench when tightening the bolts from underneath the bike. Someting as simple as car ramps or stacked wood under the tires helps.
  • I had to cut a small notch in the Spyder's lower left thin black plastic panel (the one directly above the stock footpeg) to clear the Kewlmetal bracket, took just 30 seconds with diagonal cutters and not visible at all.
  • The pegs/footboards and the extension links you use will stay put if you align the extension links during installation such that the weight of the rider's feet are tightening the bolts, not working to loosen them. And use Loctite, and use star (not split) washers. If this is not clear, please call, email or text me and I'll explain.
Overall, I do recommend this kit if you want to add highway pegs or boards to your RT.
