• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think the party is over.

I would suggest eliminating the fan relay as well as any other electrical mod until the problem is sorted out. Put the bike back to stock, 100% and then if there's still a problem then, and only then do you have a legitimate beef.

Understand that you modify the electicals on a modern bike you have no basis to complain when things start going haywire.

I'm always amused when people modify their stuff then rant on about how piss poor the dealer/manufacturer is when problems crop up and they can't resolve it.

A plus for some dealers pinpointing exactly what mods are at fault.

I remember in Daytona you had a lot of LED lights on and if I remember right your battery was dead when you went to leave. I know a weak battery can cause all sorts of codes. That would be where I looked first and leave any of those lights off until you find the problem.

^ I had the same issue when I first installed my stereo... all sorts of codes came up and the simple act of charging the dead battery made all the codes go away.

I know when I talk with Kurt and he has a problem child Spyder the first thing he does is put everything back to stock and start from there.

When we were trouble shooting a Spyder in Hollywood that wouldn't shift right we did the ground wire fix and changed some relays but it turned out to be a combination of a bad battery and some cheap HID lights that were the problem.

Would that by any chance be those HID lights I keep seeing on EBay for $99? :dontknow:

Well everybody. I got the fire going under my dealer. Thanks to the man called Lamontster. I got a call from, Carlo at BRP It's out of my hands now. I'm not saying anymore. Other than I should have done this 3 weeks ago. :spyder::thumbup:

That's why they call him LaMonster!

But seriously, all any of us want is a functional Spyder. Not too much to ask. It may take a bit of digging to get this done but I really hope you're back in the saddle, and a happy camper soon.

Wow, that is shocking... My experperience with Broward Motorspors has always been a pleasent one and they have always solved all issues...

In any case Im glad that things are working out... see you soon.

We are the owners of an early 2008 se5 that we have dubed hi tech computerized electrical nightmare, our selling dealer was crap. We are now working through Carlo and Pete Hoff at Towsley Motorsports in White Bear Lake, MN. Something that may improve you opinion of some motorcycle mechanics, there is a really good article in Nov, 2009 Rider Motorcycle magazine page 18 & 19 on the motorcycle mechanics institute in Phoenix MMI & Orlando FL. If you read that article, you'll sleep better - very good.

Had a big sit down with the Service Manager yesterday. Seems that the service writer dropped the ball. When I would call and ask about my bike. The manager would ask the writer about it. He would give him some story. While he just forget about my bike. That's not good.
The manager took over my bike. Within one day. He found out that the problem was the main computer. Still won't have my bike this weekend.. BRP will send it Friday I hope, if not Monday. Then I hope I get to go to the front of the line for service
I got to sit on my Spyder. It felt good just to sit on it.
