• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I stand corrected ...

On one of my recent posts I stated I had no foam in the fuse box lid. I just remembered to check again. So now I am correcting my post. I have a very thin piece of foam in the fuse box lid on all three machines. :gaah:

Now I am not making any excuses for my error but it did teach me I need better lighting in my garage/shop.

Now I have corrected myself.

I had already added a 3/8" thick piece of foam because the factory piece was just too thin to do the job. /Ken

Thanks for the note, Ken. I've been wondering about this and if they installed foam in the fuse/relay box(es?) on my on-the-way-in 2010 RS?!

When you added the foam on the thin factory piece, did you add any adhesive or anything, or did you cut it wide enough to hold itself in place in the cover?

How about the fuses under the seat - wonder if that needs foam also - to keep the fuses in place back there?

thanks

Foam in fuse box lid

Naw... it was some flat soft sheet foam I had laying around in the garage.

GroundEffect... I didn't use any adhesive. It will stay in position. The foam the factory uses isn't quite thick enough to hold the relays in position.

Be careful when you put the lid back on the box... make sure everything is lined up and don't break the tabs off.

Now I am off to my favorite store.... walley world: //Ken
