• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I remember when....

We used to go to the candy store to "Hang Out" a glass of seltzer was 3 cents, if you wanted syrup in it, it was 5 cents.

Somebody's father would whistle for him and half the kids headed home because they were not sure who was being called :roflblack::roflblack:

I remember when we got our first tv in the mid '50s. We lived in north Seattle and were the first ones on our street (which was not paved, btw) to get a tv. All the kids on our street (kindergarten/1st grade age) came over the next day and my Mom checked the paper to find a suitable show. It was Mighty Mouse.

Before that I actually remember listening to a kids show on our living room table radio on Saturday mornings...then getting booted out the door to go out and play.

I remember when we had to fill the cars gas tank from a spring loaded door attached to the rear licence plate.

I remember ALL of these (except we already had electricity) plus......Riding the horse to the General Store because the Model A had flat tires. :D

I remember when I wanted to change the channel on the TV, I had to walk all the way across the room to do it.

That is funny, my 30 year old son tells all his friends that when he was four years old, he use to have to change the channels for me while i rested on the couch.

Do you remember your milk being delivered in glass bottles?
By the milkman??

I do!
How about taking milk, "straight from the teat"? No Pasteurizing was needed!

Yes, I do, by the local dairy farm-Mountain Dairy. I also played on their little league baseball team. I worked on my Uncle's farm when I was a kid, so I also got milk straight from the source. I also remember when Made in the USA meant something. Dale
