There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The issue isn't towing that heavy a trailer, the issue is stopping that heavy a trailer.
That's why BRP has a 400 pound weight limit.

probably pull it ok but stopping it is another thing, does it have trailer brakes.

:agree: with above commenters ......... plus even if you add electric brakes ( which can be done ) that camper is EMPTY ...... Do you think it's going to stay that way once you start traveling....... I've seen similar Pods that weigh quite a bit less .............jmho ..... Mike :thumbup:

When you look at the specifications of that unit: it's pretty apparent that you'd be asking an awful lot of your Spyder to haul it around... :shocked:
With an empty weight of 645 pounds: you'd be pretty close to being at 750 or more; when it's loaded-up, and ready to go.

While the total weight with typical outfitting is close to the Little Guy it is a home built and I would be willing to bet if you were careful you could keep it under 450#.
How much does the CLC Teardrop Camper weigh?
About 250 pounds fully outfitted and accessorized. The basic shell and galley weighed 176lbs on our digital scale. Trailer weight will vary wildly; our aluminum Trailex trailer weighs 196lbs. Figure on a total of 500-600lbs all-up with typical outfitting.

I've posted this info on other threads about the " teardrop " style camper...... On the above kit - if you swapped out the Marine plywood ( very heavy ) for a similar strength " COROPLAST " product , you could save 75% of the weight without sacrificing anything..... google " coroplast " and see what they have, I was amazed at the variety of products .... they build entire HUGH greenhouses with this stuff .................
