• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need help with by brakes

Got the brake failure screen on my RT, looking around i saw the rear brakes needed changed so i replaced the pads. but still get the brake failure screen and am now getting C1282 fault code. I know this means low pressure but the brake pedal does not feel soft, Do i have to take it to the dealer to get the code cleared or will it clear when the cause of it is corrected?

Thanks, Bob

CHECK THIS

If you can ,I would check the level of the brake fluid....Spyders seem to be very, very fussy about having the EXACT amount of fluid in the resevoir.......and if you add be very careful brake fluid is almost like Battery acid in what it destroy.......Put a small amount in a clean metal teaspoon and put it in that way......IMHO.....Mike

Have to agree..!!

:agree: check your fluid levels. When changing the pads you compress the pistons pushing fluid back. If you can bleed the system pressure should normalize. Could be the sensor as well. If all does no good check with the dealer..good luck..!!

It may not clear without BUDS. It depends on the nature of it. The first thing I would do is have the brake fluid flushed and the brakes bled. If the code is restet and the problem occures again, then the brake pressure switch is suspect. BUDS is the best way to diagnose that.
