• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jim,
They are completely different rides; NIght and Day difference!
Can you have some foam added to your seat so that it raises you up a bit? That would lessen the "angle of the dangle" for your knees...
You'll have to spin the wheels on the Tri-Glide to see if it's for you.
Bobborgera has a T.G., and he came off of an RS... Why not PM him?

Take a road test on all including the RT SE5 and you find out what will fit your stature. good luck and enjoy:spyder::spyder::spyder:riding:yes::yes::yes:

As has been said, the TG is a totally different ride. The TG and the ST won't feel anywhere near the same so you really need to ride both to see how they fit you. Are you planning on getting the SE5 with the ST or the manual? The Tri Glide is, of course, a standard manual motorcycle transmission, so if you were planning on going with the paddle shifters there's another huge difference.

Only you can tell by test riding to see what you like. You either like the TG or you don't. Prior to purchasing my 2010 RTS I went and checked them out. The ergos did not fit me and I did not like the feel or the sound. Another dealbreaker was the $10,000 price difference for what I considered to be less technology. I don't know if the $10K still holds today.

RE: Clothes: Can AM does have some nice riding gear now--but it is as pricey as the HD brand--or worse. Last look at the BRP catalog, I found a jacket for $699 and the matching pants for another $399. The HD stuff is very nice--but is branded--and I would not wear that unless I owned a HD.

Mechanically: You would have to go to a HD site and read about the TG. Have not kept up on that so I do not know good or bad.
