There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I need a taller Handlebar

Good morning all... I have come to the conclusion that I need more height for my handlebar. When I turn hard left or right the handlebar not only hits my legs, it impedes my ability to either use the foot brake easily (Do to the angle I have to adjust to in order to turn hard right) or use throttle because my hand is pressed fairly hard into my leg.

Additionally I found my steering issues are not related to the bike, but rather how I was steering the bike. :(:lecturef_smilie:.

Here is what I mean.... I pull the handle straight back towards me when at speed. This actually gave me the sensation that the power steering was not working like I would have hoped when at speed.

I have countless hours on two wheels and four wheels off road. I never had to work this hard to steer. It actually gets dangerous in some situations. One being a quick action one for obstacles on the road.

Maybe it is my riding position, I do not know. But yesterday it dawned on me as I looked at the angle of the handle bar I noticed it had a downward angle towards my legs... So as a result I drove around all day yesterday "Bending" my steering habit... And what do you know. Steered like I thought it should. But at the end of the day, it was an uncomfortable position for me to "Bend" to in order to steer my RT.

So... I looked at many stores here and could not find a single RT handlebar lift. I think 1.5" or 2" will do it. Any ideas?

Next question is will I have to change my wiring in order to do this? :dontknow:

We will be having the GPS installed next week, and I have on order the hand brake from ISCI...

Thanks for all your help!:spyder2:

You might want to call Harry at Heli, www.helibars.com. The last time I spoke with him he was talking about making an adjustable handlebar for the RT. Looking at he handlebar setup for the RT it doesn't look like you could put a spacer/adapter block under the handlebars like you could with the RS.

UGH!!! Thanks for the idea... I will give them a call.. I saw a few of the original Spyder versions... But I am not going to cut my new handle bar!!

Any other thoughts? I guess I could take it to a local machinist and have them make me one :dontknow:

The RT handlebars are just that, wereas the RS has a cover over the handlebars. It would be quite a task to make a new set of handlebars for the RT being as they are not traditional or clip ons.
