I need a hug... Ultimate seat?

Hi all.

I just rolled 600 on my new 2013 RT Limited.



My girlfriend and I simply love it. I am 6'2", and I feel comfortable enough on it, although I know many taller SpyderLovers are not completely comfortable on the stock seat.

I have heard mention of the Ultimate Tall Boy seat. I don't think I am uncomfortable enough to make that sort if investment, unless....

See, we have been riding a piaggio MP3. It's small enough that she would hug me while riding. We both loved it. But we knew after the Spyder test ride that we must trade up and go far.

Now that we've been riding, we miss the closeness we had while riding. She feels most comfortable holding on the the hand bars, and she's so far away that she leans way over to try to hold on to me, but she feels neither comfortable or safe. She's small 5"2' 110.

I am wondering, if I got the tall boy (or some other seat that pushes me back a bit, would we be closer and better set up for that awesome hold-on closeness?

Take a look at Diamond R's Armrests. They might make her feel more secure. They sure added a lot of comfort to our Spyder...

Is it possible to save the spooning for after the ride?

I added the Diamond R backrests and my wife is now completely comfortable leaning forward for cuddling and other x rated endeavors

I tried the tall boy seat and found we were too close! Went with the mid rider seat to keep us all with enough space. It all depends on what you're looking for. I will say the comfort of the Ultimate seat is great!

The BRP Comfort Seat gives you 2 more inches of seat space which would bring her closer to you as the 2" comes out of the passenger seat.
