• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I MAY HAVE FOUND MY NEXT BIKE

I really dig the look but I am totally NOT into the transmissions.... To much like a Bergman...
Now, slap an RC51 motor in there with a 6 speed and now we are talking!!

Does it need to be? :dontknow:
With the potential for a full-, or semi-automatic transmission in it; I doubt that's what they're looking to sell it as.

If you can get a ride on one of the "maxi-Scooters" for lack of a better term, do it. You might be surprised at how much fun they are. I had a Cushman years ago. these are not in the same league. I used to doa lot of demo rides at big rallys. I also got to know the ladies who "handed out the rides". One (or more them) said, I need to ride a Silver Wing (scooter). Except for the shifting method, it was fun.
Honda has used the Silver wing as a escort for Gold Wing Demo rides with no problems.

" Scooters " handle like cr*p,.......because ALMOST ALL the weight is above the axles and the tires makes them squirrely.............JMHO.....Mike

Too bad Honda will price it ridicuously high, like they did the NC700, over 15K, take it or leave it. Same way with the PC 800, which I dearly loved and hated giving mine up. As for the poster who thinks scooters ride like crap, he/she needs to ride one first. I've got the Piaggio X9 Evo 500ie and the Aprilia Atlantic 500 and both ride and handle like a dream!

Actually I did log a lot of miles on " scooters " back in 1968 as a cop in Central Park in NYC. I was lucky and never received any serious injuries but I knew more than a few guys who did.....Mike

I've had a couple of Bergman 650's and I assure you they will easily outrun any Can Am. The motors and transmissions are darn near bullet proof and extended warranty's doesn't cost an arm and leg.
A friend of mine put 200,000K on his first and is now working on the second one. He did have a belt break at 90K but his extended warranty covered it and he had the OEM plugs replaced at that time.
Ran whatever 10-40 car oil was on sale. :D
