• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I LOVE MY SPYDER - AGAIN!

(Think DPS) I LOVE MY SPYDER - AGAIN!

I just returned home from having the DPS recall performed. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY SPYDER!

I had DPS issues last year that the first recall seemed to have fixed. My SM5 Spyder always felt different to me compared to my wife's SE5. My steering never felt as crisp and tight as hers. Last weekend, my DPS gave me the fits on the return home from the Upper Michigan Tunnel of Trees trip. In addition to my steering issues, I have had continuous issues with front end wobble/shimmy. I even blamed it on Ride-On!

With the new DPS it feels like a totally different Spyder and I am ecstatically joyful!

THANK YOU BRP!

:congrats:

I am SO convinced and can't wait until the dealer calls to tell me my unit is available. :D :2excited:

With the update and the RT shocks I'll be set.

Great to hear and congratulations.
After having had all the updates and finally a replacement DPS (original ) fitted, the steering still feels rocky especially at speed on the twisties. Because of this I decided that no Spyder was better than a dangerous Spyder and put the Spyder up for sale.
The very next day I learned of the recall and withdrew the ad.
My dealer tells me that the new units have arrived in the country and being No.1 on the list I expect to have the new DPS installed by the end of next week.
In my case, on my Spyder, the only flaw it has is the DPS. Sorting this out once and for is all that is required to fulfil it's potential as a stunning riding experience enjoyed by the brave who took a chance on this cutting edge reverse trike called Spyder.

I got mine done yesterday as well. I never thought the old one was that bad until I rode home last night. The steering feels great! I wish I would have had it done before the Smokies trip.

Me likey! :2thumbs:

I have had issues with my steering almost since I got it in 2008 and had pretty much given up on it. But, now she's steering so well that I've got my confidence restored and we're back on the road again!
