• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I lost a screw

I lost a screw. Apparently it jiggled out and went away without my help! It is one of the four screws on the dashboard.

Does anyone one know the size I need for replacement? I will probably go to the auto parts store or to the hardware store, but does anyone know what size I need?

Don't say that..!!

you all the rest of us that lost a screw are going to chime in....:roflblack::roflblack: :agree:

If you run into problems finding one let me know and I will get out my bold gauge and measure the threads and pitch. The problem might be more matching the color and head style.

Local to us is McMastercarr.com (you can order online). They have just about any retainer you might ever need.

Up by us; Ace Hardware normally has a pretty good assortment bits and pieces. Pull another one from the bike, and it'd be pretty easy to match up a new one to it.

I went to the dealer. Cost $3.00. He has to order it. Two to three weeks.
I got the specs on the screw m5/20. I went to Lowes. 80 cents for a package of two.

Now I have an extra screw (heh).

My wife is always saying I have a screw loose. nojoke She has a few other choice words :cus: to describe me also. But glad you found it at a great price. Tom :trike:

With the same domed head style? e.g. they look the same?

A couple friends in Arizona had the same issue with their 2014 RTs. One lost the screw, the other caught it . . . has BRP run out of Blue Loctite? :dontknow:

You must be doing something wrong. When I removed the Tupperware I always have an extra screw or two. I have never come up short with my screws.;);)

I am sure I am doing something wrong (LOL). Positive, in fact! (LOL). But this thing came out when I was ryding...it was there when I polished my Spyder. It wasn't there when I got home from a ryde. It must have been only partially screwed in.

My wife claims that there is a screw loose in the driver.

I fear that she is right!
