• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I always wanted to but not this way. Here is the flood map around me you can see the island I live on circled on it.

The map says it all. Our thoughts and :pray: go out to all the flood victims.

News last night mentioned this was enough rain to have cured the California drought--had it been dumped in the right place.

The good news is your place is near a lake! But instead if "going to the lake" it came to you!

Ive been praying for you low country folks. I hope this will end soon.

As you can see the light blue is the actual river. Dark blue is flooded areas. It won't go down for a while either. Forecast is looking good though...no Hurricanes ( OMG what a mess that would be) or heavy rain coming. 30% chance of some rain Sat but sunny as far as they forecast.

Yikes..!!

Have seen the kit to change your roadster into a ski doo but have not seen one for a seadoo..:banghead::banghead: all the best to you and yours and :pray:'s to all sufferring the torrencial rains out there...

As someone who has never even had a wet basement I can't imagine what you going thru but keep your chin up if that helps!

 Now you're just waiting for everything to get done with draining into what should be just the river; right?
Days... Hang in there!!

It's been pretty bad but it could have been so much worse if the hurricane had turned toward the states! :yikes:

Probably weeks not days. I don't expect to see my dock for 2 weeks at least. It is 12" higher than this pic (the chairs are screwed down). The Dock is usually 12" above the pond.

I have family all over SC (Lexington, Pawley's Island, Florence, Anderson) and thank God they all survived with no damage to life or property. But there are so many that weren't that lucky. I lived there for 45 years and never saw anything like this; not even when Hugo tore through the state.

I would sit at my computer while all of this was happening looking at pictures and videos of the Midlands and crying. I grew up it the Midlands and seeing this was gut wrenching.

You have my prayers, as well as all those who are in SC and are facing this massive clean up and rebuilding. God bless.

Do you have clean water and provisions? Or are you able to get out to get them?

Still have road access it isn't flooded over..yet. Last night after the crest was supposed to be over I still got another 6" so to answer Bob no progress at all. At least it is sunny. As long as this does actually go down at least I know for sure my house can handle severe flooding I have wondered as I live in an AE flood zone. That means very low risk but the new Fema maps were saying different.Might have to invest in some flood insurance just when the Govt. quit subsidizing it.
