Since I bought my Spyder, I have always said I will ride if it isnt raining. Here in sunny central NC, it has been in the upper 20's at night, and I have been getting the WTF looks from everyone when I pull in to work on the Beast (I work nights from 7pm - 7am). Well tonight, it is supposed to be about 9 degrees with a windchill of -5. I drove my truck to work instead tonight and everyone says it is about time I showed that I have some brains. I am thoroughly disgusted with my self for doing the smart thing. I hate it when I do that.

It is a bummer when you have to ride alternate transportation than the :spyder2:.

I have found my comfort zone now to be at about 10 degrees above zero. Add the wind chill factor and you have a pretty cold riding situation. It becomes more of an "ordeal" than a ride at those kinds of temperatures.

I did 20 below zero in MN in the 60's--but that was then, this is now.

Hang in there. You will soon be riding in comfort again. :yes:

Well, I can't lie anymore. We sold the only cage we had about a month ago. Rain - cold - heat - doesn't matter - I'm riding. This morning 18 degrees and felt like 3. Temp gauge on the bike was showing 22 degrees. Only have to go 7 1/2 miles each way so it's not too bad. Work from 10:45pm until 6:45am.

Lived in New York in my younger days and never could quite tell the difference between 18 degrees or 3 degrees so i moved to Arkansas so it don't matter.

Picky, picky, picky. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Just testing you math gurus out there. You passed. :yes: I intended 20 below zero or (-20 degrees F). That is cold and a lot of lower 48 people are now experiencing just what I was talking about.

I remember those days when...we walked two miles uphill both to and from school, in four feet of snow and 10 below zero. Ahhhhh, Minnesota, how I miss you. :roflblack:

Rode a HD KHK throu a blizzard in WVA a long time ago from columbus, Ohio to Washington DC. Rode on PGR escort 125 miles at 9 above. No electric, but right gear helps.-7 last night, took the truck to VA center today

It was 16 down here in South Mississippi this morning. I did not even look at the :spyder2: on my way to my nearly 12 year old Excursion whose Diesel engine even thought it was COLD.

Well, it was 38 today when I got up this afternoon, so I took the Beast out for a little ride. I start jonesing a bit after a couple of days off it.
