• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I Just Couldn't Help It!

About 45 minutes ago, I was fueling Scoot3r at the local convenience store when a young woman and her boyfriend/husband pulled up to the pump behind me and got out. They both showed a high level of interest in my ryde and came up to look it over. the young women then asked me, "Is that one of those Volkswagen conversions?" I just couldn't stop my mouth-and said, "No it started out as a '34 Ford; I just got carried away with the chopping and channeling." She got a very puzzled frown on her face and her boyfriend/husband stood there shaking his head. I then explained Scoot3r is a CanAm Y Trike designed that way and gave her one of the brochures I carry. As they went back to their pickup she turned to her boyfriend/husband and stated very firmly, "I still think it's a VW." It made my day!

There is no way to refute illogic or fantasy.... But I like the 34 Ford angle.

What the.........

I just got back from a 4873 mile trip and I know what you are talking about. I was asked, "what 's that?","who makes it?". One time I was gassing up when three other couples on Harley's pulled in. One of the women walked over to check out the Spyder. She asked how comfy the ride is than yelled over to her husband who was filling up their bike, " honey, I don't know what it is, but I want one". His reply was, " the bike or the biker". I don't know if I was insulted or not. It was funny either way.

when folks ask me what mine is i say its a transformer. i tell them to stand in front of it for a few minutes and watch what it turns into. you would be surprised how many people go to the front of the bike and just stare. being a smart a__ sometimes is fun.

I always get the "Do you like it?" question on stops... I sometimes feel like answering "I hate it! I just like to torture myself!" :roflblack: But then I bite my tongue...:lecturef_smilie:

Logical question to ask to some people [who aren't all giddy over their machine:)] When ever I'm in the market for a new machine, I would ask
that same question, And some will ''Actually'' tell you all about it ''Warts'' and all....

Yeah you could..!!

But sometimes it is just so much fun...we have a member who rydes with us who changed his front emblem to BMW can you imagine the fun he has..?? :roflblack:

Some questions

I am always amazed at the number of people ask "how much did it cost" I'm not sure I told my wife the full cost before farkles.:yikes:

RE: What is it? It a snowmobile conversion is another good answer.

RE: How much did it cost? I always ask them "What do you think"? I get a lot of answers in the $8K to $10K range. I love to see their mouths drop when I tell them $17K to $30K. Maybe after this year, the new high end will be $32K. ???

Had a guy ask me the other day if it was true about all the roll overs. I'm thinking where the :cus: did that come from. Told him I'd never heard of a roll over. He thanked me asked about a dealer, I pointed him at Middletown Cycle and he motored away in his cage.

Ride and ride safe,
