• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I installed Evoluzione's swaybar

Interesting...I take turns plenty fast...same with highway ramps...haven't seen the tire come up one time...

Where are you leaning when you're turning? I find if I hug tight, it's near impossible to get the tire off the ground...plus, I push down on the pegs with sharp turns...this also keeps you on the ground...

It usually happens when im at a complete stop making a turn. If you gun it, the tires comes up. I can lean into more and prevent it, but I don’t always like to ride in that racing position. im sold... ordering mine on friday. thanks for the feed back.

You can still get the front tires up with the sway bar - I was on an on-ramp and accelerated hard and did not put in much body english - the right front tire came up about 4". No problem always felt solid and tire went down in less than 5 feet of travel.
I rode with a friend that has a BMW K1300 - he was going on and on how a three wheeler could not keep up w/ him in the twisties..... we rode - I was on him like sweat.....he kept commenting how stable the Spyder was in the turns. Less body roll made a big difference - I would never have driven my motorcycles this fast in the twisties, the safety/stability of 3 wheels is really nice - also the stopping power of all that extra rubber on the road is a huge safety factor......what am I doing - you guys are already sold

Thanks Bill and Steven!

After a nice ryde today with wbbrn1952 & sabunim5. We ended back at my house where they helped me install my new sway bar. We each tinkered with different things with our :spyder2:'s. After they left for home. I made a quick run to Wally World. I only got to try only one hard turn on the way back. Using body english I took this turn harder than ever before. This is the same turn I've had the right front wheel off the ground on a couple of occasions. WOW!! What a difference. Thanks to Bill and Steven for all their help and advice. Sway bar install is so much easier with 2 more sets of hands.

Should someone post the instructions here being it looks like they don't send them with the bar? I guess I'll have to do this one in a month or two...just finished up the JB...still have to take that for a ryde!

Read the directions...looks like this can take a while. For all you pros, looks like a snap...for the fledglings like me, this looks like it's gonna take a good amount of time...too bad there aren't pics of the installation.

Just installed the JB...the video was essential as the pics made the left side fuel injector look like it was on the outside...the video made it clear that it is quite deep....really tucked in.

I'm a bit hesitant to play with the suspension of the bike as a slip-up could be quite serious...however, if many here have successfully done the job without a hitch, then this makes me a bit more confident.

In addition, what is everyone doing with the amount of 'sway'...is everyone using the tighter setting? Can it be changed once installed?

It is easier if you have 2 people. We had my :spyder2: up on jack stands. Removed the skid plate ( I'm not sure you have to, but you can see much better with it removed). Removed the 2 bolts that hold the trunk to frame close to sway bar. Used a pry bar to lever the trunk forward while using 2 open end wrenches to remove the clamp bolts and nuts. This is where it come in hand to have 2 people (1 keeps the trunk pried up enough for the other to loosen/replace nuts and bolts on the removal/install). Total time was probably less than 30 mins, but I can't be sure because we were working on another :spyder2: at the same time and stopped to go help Steven with his project.

Bill, chime in here if you can think of anything I left out.

If you don't have a shop manual. Go to BRP parts catalogs online. This has helped me numerous times to look at a break down, before I do an install.

sway-bar is a great improvement

The sway-bar was the last of the mod's I did it should have been the first. I love the new feel and always tell people who are thinking about getting a Spyder that this is the first change they should make.:agree:

:agree:
I just installed and tested the evoluzione performance sway-bar. WOW, I couldn’t believe it - what a difference. I highly recommenced this to everyone. The Handle ling and feel is much improved even when freeway riding in the rain. :2thumbs:

Put mine on last night, along with changing the front shocks to #4 position. What a great improvement. I set the bar at the inside holes for the stiffer adjustment and found it to be just right for my style of riding. Cant wait till I get back to NC and the twisties......
