• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have gone and done it......

This morning I said goodbye to my trusted BMW K1200LT and Unigo trailer. I like the RT-S SE5 so much that I didn't seem to have the need to hang onto it! I love not having to worry about things like balance and now my wife will ride with me!! It's Spyder Time!

Congradulations  On the sale and the spyder .

Hopefully the new owner will enjoy your BMW as much as you did .

I felt much the same when our last GoldWing sold. Now 23K miles later, no regrets. Oh, and not to hijack but my own trailer pics coming soon.

Congrats, Larry! 'Twas nice to meet you the other day up in Longview. Hope to see you on the road someday.....

Got the bucks to do it

Larry,
Does that mean you'll be picking up the breakfast tab at the June 3rd meeting? If the answer is 'Yes' I'll start fasting now! :joke:

Welcome. I know what you mean about the wife. I had a HD Road King and my wife called it a murder cycle. I managed to get her on it a few times, but that was all. I sold it. Now that I have a spyder, she is already planning on a bunch of places that we can ride. I told her that I wanted to ride to Spyderfest next year. She said great, but that maybe we should trailer the spyder there and ride once we get there. The trip is over 800 miles and she isn't sure that she can last 800 miles on the spyder. I told her we would take smaller trips before Spyderfest to see if she can handle it. ;)

Congratulations.
I to had the K1200LT, a 1999 and then a 2005. Great bikes. But the Spyder will be so much easier to handle, and not deal with those unruly parking lot maneuvers on the BMW. I then progressed to the GL1800 in 2007. Now a Spyder on Thursday! I'm really looking forward to more "carefree" riding. I bet my wife will be driving the Spyder.

Larry's buying breakfast?

Bob, guess I'll start fasting too, if Larry is buying! What a guy Larry is to spend that BMW money on his new Spyder friends! See you both on June 3rd.

Congratulations, my 2012 Limited is it, traded my GL1800 and a new V-Strom, so far so good, can't see paying insurance on a two wheeler to sit in the garage. The Spyder is so comfortable and relaxing I don't want to ride on two wheels...
