There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have found something wrong!

I have asked for help with exhaust, and some of you said there was something wrong. I found it but, I don't know what it is. I can grab a hold of the front of the muffler and lft it up to where it should be. I have a pic of where it is hanging now. I also found a spring in the front of the Spyder, the frunk. I have found where that should be on the exhaust pipe. The question is, how do I put it on there? I know with a tool, but how does the exhaust hang on the bike? Why is it that I can lift up on the muffler and make it almost level with the frame of the bike? Any help?

Since you can "adjust " it's position by hand, and I don't live next door, the person to contact for help
is the nice incompetent folks that sold you the machine.

Hard to say...

Picture is not clear to see. The cat should be on hangers with Springs holding it to the header pipe. The muffler should have its own support which should hold it tight and where your problems lies...

Sounds like one of the 3 springs holding the primary muffler to the header pipe has fallen off. No idea why but it either needs to be put back on or the hooks it connects to replaced. If the front of your muffler moves easily up and down, it would suggest one of the hangers for the primary muffler (under the bike) is broken or was never installed correctly.

You either need to get under the bike and figure out where the exhaust is not connected to the frame and replace the spring or take it to the dealer to have it done under warranty. The spring is installed with a hook with a tee handle.

Something wrong

There are two bike mounted prongs that slide into rubber cushioned round rings
(for lack of a better description) that are mounted to the muffler. It is possible that
your muffler is just mounted to the bottom ring. I missed the top ring first time I
had mine apart and had the same problem you described. Just a possibility and an
easy fix if so.

today when I got home I got to look at the bike a little closer. I found that the Cat is not even hooked like it is supposed to be. I know some of you have said to take it back to the dealer. I understand and agree with you. The thing is that, I bought it from a second hand dealer that is 2 hours from my house. I will have to take the exhaust apart and fix it myself. I am glad I started to ask you guys what was going on. Who knows how long it would have been until I would have noticed it.

My boss today gave me a 2 Brothers muffler for free. It doesn't have a hanger on it at all. It has been used and is still in good shape Can a muffler shop do some work to it and make it work on my Spyder?

Should there be a donut between the header pipe and the cat? If so, mine is missing.

Yes, but when installed it just looks like the header pipe is coned on the end. The gasket is wedge shaped and is the same color as the pipe. Item 22 in the diagram above.

I was able to get the donut for the exhaust at NAPA today. When I got off work, I was able to fix the CAt by putting it on the hanger that was made for it, place the new donut in the front of the Cat and, I was also able to put all 3 of the springs back on. The Spyder is now not as loud as it was before. I have the 2 Brothers muffler to put on in the spring.

Thanks for all the help and ideas that you guys gave me.
