There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have decided on a trailer for the spyder

Well after 8 months of trying to figure out which trailer I want and would be best for the spyder and after looking at so many different trailers and what many of the members have I decided to get a AST3 trailer originally called AST2 XW. The main reason I got the AST3 is that is has a air lowering air ride system that allows you to just flip a switch and it lowers the whole trailer to the ground and you ride the spyder right on to it no ramps to deal with flip the switch back and the on board compressor raise the trailer back up. I also like the front rock shield and I like the look of the fenders it made it look complete and finished and I also got a remote control to raise and lower the deck. One thing I will say this trailer is w i d e I used my SSR to bring it home and I can see both fenders from the side mirrors, have not put the spyder on it yet so can't comment on this but the ride home with empty trailer well lets just say if I did not look in the mirrors I would not know I was pulling a trailer . It is painted spyder yellow/black so I guess I will have to re-do the black to match my spyder or do it to match my SSR and of course I will do my own custom mods on it as well like more light I am also looking for a pair of wheels chocks as well that will fit the front tires, so far I am pleased with the trailer.

I have been looking into the same purchase from this company. They sent me a price list about 6 months ago but I’m now considering the enclosed version they offer. Let me know how it works out for you? Are you planning to drive to their facility to pick it up, they are a little costly?

:congrats:Buddy, good luck with it.

Thanks, it a awesome trailer I would call it the Rose Royce of trailers

Nice trailer! will you have it custom painted to match your spyder graphics theme?

Yes I will customize it as well.

I got it from a dealer in MA and picked it up yesterday, I did look at the enclosed version as well but could not drive and not able to use my inside mirror and it is BIG as well and I believe it will create a lot of drag and kill my fuel economy and now I only get about 15mpg.

Those are really nice trailers. I wish we could have afforded one. We paid $900 for the (new) trailer we use to pull the Spyder.

I looked at The Chariot Ironhorse but decided for the money the AST3 was better, sure there rock shield look good as it goes all the way around both sides. One thing there ramp is only a little over 3' wide and to get one made to fit our spyder meant some custom work to the end of the trailer and cost just got way out of hand and of course again AST has no ramp to deal with and that was a big plus for me kind of cool to just hit the remote and watch the whole trailer drops to the ground so much easer to load and off load.

Quality Built Trailers

makes a very nice trailer for the spyder. retread and I both have one and we are both pleased. It has a dropped axle and you can ride right on. Also rock guard as you can see:

He will pretty much build one the way you want it. I have chocks in mine. retread doesn't. We both had them built a little narrower so it could fit in a garage. I plan on storing the spyder on mine this winter.

$900 trailer

And what brand/type of trailer did you get? Was it worth the savings? I am a new Spyder owner and am looking for my first cycle hauler. So let me know.

I had one

I sold it last year, not because I did not like it, but because it rained or snowed every time I towed it behind the motorhome. REALL, noe I tow my Jeep, and the weather is fine.;)
The trailer is great. I hated to get rid of it, but it just was not in our best interest to keep it at the time.
I used it for my Harley, and the wife's Spyder.

It was not cheap, but well worth the cost...IMHO
