• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have Decided That...

...That SpyderCodes is 100% correct...

But I wasn't "working" on my bike; I was only cleaning it.
(Well; I also ran through a complete tire pressure adjustment, filled it with more tools and parts, and checked the oil...:D)

Knowing that I'd be on almost a 3,000 journey soon; I figured that it was time to actually CLEAN my Spyder! :yikes:
I dug out all of the tire, metal, chrome, plastic, rubber, black parts, other parts, and windshield cleaners an polishers, and got right to it...
...And I thought about what was said in his post...
These bikes have all sorts of hidden places that love to collect grunge, so I scrubbed, cleaned, polished, brushed, detailed, and touched; EVERY part of the bike!
He's right:
I don't like cleaning Spyders
But I do like having cleaned my Spyder!
Now it's time to get is dirty again!
See you all in a little bit over a week!!

How are you going to have it spit shining after 3000 miles of travel....inquiring mind needs to know!!!:yikes:

I must look at this differently. If I were going on a long trip. The major cleaning would be done after I got back.

While you were doing all that cleaning, I was out putting miles on mine. Went up around Greenwood Lake then up to Port Jervis. There were tons of bikes out and I saw 4 Spyders. The ice cream tasted mighty fine at DQ.

And an extra SD chip or film(?):thumbup:

I've got two cameras (a helmet camera and a 360 camera), 5 SD cards, and a 1TB pocket hard drive for offloading the video. And that doesn't include the phone camera.

That reminds me of when my son was a little kid. When we would go places he never wanted to get cleaned up before we left. His reasoning was that he was going to get dirty playing there. I told him you can play and get as dirty as you want while we are there, but you will go there CLEAN!

Always leave clean. It just feels good.

That's the way it goes.....

You will be spit and polished leaving town....and a few miles along the way. You will probably give her a once over after arriving to look good in town and then tootle on back and put her up. Then the next cleaning with nowhere to go gets tough...:roflblack:

It DID need a good cleaning! It also gave me the chance to think about the upcoming rides, the Hotels, the meetings with new AND old friends, the vendor's area... :D

Overnight stay

Bob...by any chance are you stopping overnight in Columbus this year ? If you are I'd like to run up and meet you after reading all your posts. I want to look at your hands and see if your fingers really are worn down from typing ...LOL

To get there; we're taken the Southerly Route this year...
We'll be coming home along the Northerly Route, and no plans have been cast in stone... :D
