There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have a long butt

The F3 base seat is wide enough, but not long enough (I must have a long butt) so it pushes into my lower lumbar. I can only ride for an hour before having to rest my sore lower buttatical region. Are there other options for us long buttish types?

From your headline . . . .

. . . . . . I thought you were trying to brag. :hun:

Sorry the seat doesn't work for you.

I would only brag if it was wide (Cue: Sir Mixalot) :joke:

The base seat looks comfy. And it hugs your buns, keeping you in place in a corner, but the size is just a bit off for me.

I have not seen it . . . .

. . . . . . BRP does have another seat, but I believe most dealers don't carry it in stock. Seats are hard to buy when you can't test them out.

Good luck,
Tom

Hang in there..!!

I'm sure the seat guys are feverishly working on this.. I have seen requests for seat pans....:dontknow: this is usually followed by new seats with more room...

Corbin has one out now, but I don't know anyone that has tried one. Thiers is one piece to replace both driver and passenger. They do give dimensions so you can compare.

When I demo'ed the F3 at Spyderfest, they had one with a Cannonball seat. They BRP guy said it was wider, but I didn't try it out.

Do what I am going to do, sure a build with Russell all day. Their seats are the best and I have had one on my last 3 rides.

You need the Corbin seat with the Lamonster Cut. It will give you another inch or so.

which foot position?

did you try the next foot peg setting? When I took my F3-s home the first day, I rode it for close to 200 miles and felt the same thing -- my butt ached and one of my knees was sore, and I think I was constantly pushing myself back into the back of the seat. The next day I went back to the dealership and had the foot pegs moved to position 4 (next forward position) and everything changed. No more sore butt, no sore knee, and now I'm a happy camper.

Yes - same key release.

For Rogue Hawk, I got the standard Corbin seat. It may be my imagination, but it seems like it put the seating position back slightly from the stock F3-S seat. My pegs are in the forward-most position. With the stock seat, that seemed just right. With the Corbin, it seems like my legs are stretched out all the way and I could consider moving the pegs back one. The Lamonster cut should definitely give you plenty of room if you can't get what you need by moving the pegs forward.

One other nice feature of the one piece seat is that you don't have to unbolt anything to get the driver's seat off. Twist the key and the whole things comes off very easily.

the Corbin compare to the F3-S stock seat? Thinking about a corbin seat as well.

It's noticeably firmer - recommend you try to check one out if you haven't tried one before. I hadn't, and had a bit of a surprise first time I sat on it. I prefer it over the stock seat. We did three 400+ mile days last week for Spyderfest, and I didn't have any issues with the seat. I also have the heated version and like it.

Thanks for the info, SpyderGTL. I will consider that.

Seat options

Hi all,

well now that the suspension is finished I will move on to the seat.. Over the years I have tried all sorts of aftermarket seats... The overwhelming majority of stocks seats I have rode on have been absolutely junk. The F3s seat is not bad but it's not built for anything more than a short trips..

i have found that every Corbin I have ever sat on to be overly hard. They make a solid unit but not comfortable after a couple hours in it.

I have found the Russell All Day seats to be the best seat to ever rest my buns in. They give you the opportunity to elect the material, color, pattern, and even embroidery. Each seat is built on your pan and built based on your measurements, pics of you on the bike, weight, and special needs ( need to be moved up, down, forward, back, etc). It really is like sitting on a lazy boy going down the street..

To order you make an appointment ( usually a few weeks into the future, especially in the summer) and you ship the seat to have it there by that date. The techs build your custom saddle and ship it back. They allow for adjustments to be made but ask that you break it in before you do so. Within 1000 miles your saddle will be formed to you butt and you'll be riding in the most comfortable saddle ever made...
