• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had a Serious accident on my new F3!

Thankfully you are still here to tell this story. I am sending positive healing thoughts your way and hoping your recovery is fast and complete.

Thank God you are Ok and are on the road to healing. At our age, things don't quite mend as quickly as they used to. Protective gear is just that, "PROTECTIVE". Years ago, when I was riding a 2 wheeler, I got broad sided and had it not been for the safety gear I was wearing, my head would have opened up like a fractured egg. Good for you for being safe. God be with you and He'll help you make the right decisions.

Speedy recovery and whatever your decision is don't second guess because it will be the right one. I'm 68 and at this age breaking something is my biggest fear.

Heal completly

I'll pray that you heal compleatly. I'm the same age as you and also in good shape but I can't imagine getting hit and getting hurt like your condition. Hope the pain deminishes quickly andyou heal fully.

Hang in there and heal fast. You make a great case for full protective gear and I am the first one to admit I often don't wear it all. I think we can get lulled into a false sense of security on Spyders and need to realize that you still can go down...and hit hard.

So glad to hear you will recover. When I was 59 I was riding my Kawasaki Nomad and was hit broadside by a pickup. :( I was very lucky as the only protective gear I was wearing was a pair of gloves.:opps: I was pretty smacked up but not as bad as you. Well, I survived and thought I wouldn't ride again. After some time my wonderful wife finally told me to go buy a bike a quit moping around the house. I got back in the saddle and couldn't be happier. Don't count yourself out yet. :)

How awful ... I would never think a person would get rear ended going 65 MPH. Hope you heal quickly.

:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray: go out to you, for a speedy recovery. Deanna

Prayers to you and your family. Heal and look to the future. Glad you were in protective gear. We also wear a reflective vest over our jackets but in your case the driver would probably not seen it. Bob

Best wishes and hopes for a full and swift recovery.
I live close to the interchange of I-70 and I-75, rear end crashes all the time. Running into semi,s cars, and about everything else.
A friend was rear ended on a RT with less than 600 miles on it doing 65 on I-275 around Cininnnitti, Ohio, but in KY. Will try to post pics of his crash, he was also wearing full gear.
