There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I had a Serious accident on my new F3!

Thankfully your here to tell us about it. Your Guardian Angel was looking after you. Kudos to you for wearing FULL protective gear! Even in Florida. Hope you heal quickly! I also hope they got the guy that rear ended you. BAST*** should be hung! :cus: Tom :spyder:

wow ... what a scary place to have an accident. that bridge is huge and people go across it like they are in the Indy 500. glad you are recovering and I wish you the best.

any word on the scum bag that hit you?

Really glad that you came through this with no life threatening injuries. Rest up, heal, buy a new F3s with the other guy's insurance money & hit the road again.:pray::pray::pray::pray:

:yikes: Last Saturday afternoon I had a serious accident on my new F3s. I was traveling in the right lane going 65 mph on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (I-275) when I was suddenly rear ended by a car going at a high rate of speed. I was immediately ejected from the Spyder and went flying through the air about 30 feet. After landing bouncing and tumbling on the pavement, I ended up laying on my back next to the concrete median between the N and S lanes. I was very lucky to not have been hit by any vehicles traveling in the left lane as traffic was quite heavy. Somehow I remained conscious. Injuries included three broken ribs, broken clavicle, three broken bones
in lumbar area and road rash to both legs and back. I have been in the hospital for 8 days so far. I anticipate being here for another 4or 5 days. Fortunately I was wearing good protective gear (nylon jacket and pants w armor, Shoi full face helmet, gloves and MC boots.). I am 69 and am in good shape, but the human body is not designed to withstand this amount of trauma. The pain has been horrific. My family never liked me riding in the first place so now I am getting a lot of pressure to quit riding. I guess I will make that decision in the future.

Glad to hear you are healing well. What the heck was the driver that hit you on. These Spyders are not invisible like some two wheelers. Goes to show things can happen no matter what you do.

Glad you are still with us and you must be one tough bird to survive that kind of impact. As far as riding again that's going to have to be a personal choice. I was rear ended on the freeway in 1982 and I was off of bikes for 13 years after that. That's a really hard call but maybe not right now seeing the pain you're in. Our prayers are with you.

Let me guess, the a##hole didn't see you, right? :gaah:

SMH, that's Flori:duh: for you.

Best wishes for a complete recovery.

Thank you for sharing your story. As hard as it was for you to endure the incident, I think it served well to remind us all to remain ever-vigilant while ryding our Spyders. Often, it is "the other guy" one must watch out for...

Joining with everyone in the prayers for recovery.

If I may ask-- you say you got road rash on your back and legs, yet you were wearing gear. Did the gear fail? Burn through? Or did it ride up/down?

The last has me paranoid lately. I've got jackets and riding pants, but they're all separates from different manufacturers, i.e. they don't zip together. Even that isn't as good as a one-piece, but at least it'd be something.

I'm glad you weren't hurt more than you were. I am praying that you'll recover quickly, and will be back on 3 wheels soon.

This is a lesson for all of us who get complacent about protective gear - at least it is for me.

You are in my thoughts

I am very glad you were wearing the gear that you were, although I often do not.

I hope your pain lessens quickly, and wish you a speedy recovery!!

Here's to a speed recovery and thank God you were wearing full gear.
Heal up quickly and be sure to do all the physical therapy, it can be a pain but helps a lot with mobility.
Prayers and well wishes are coming your way.:pray::pray:

 to you and hope for a timely healing.

When you are better....update us if they caught the idiot that ran into you. If you have photos of the Spyder...it would be interesting to see the damage as well.

Get well and hope you ride again ! :spyder2:
