There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I had a Serious accident on my new F3!

:yikes: Last Saturday afternoon I had a serious accident on my new F3s. I was traveling in the right lane going 65 mph on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (I-275) when I was suddenly rear ended by a car going at a high rate of speed. I was immediately ejected from the Spyder and went flying through the air about 30 feet. After landing bouncing and tumbling on the pavement, I ended up laying on my back next to the concrete median between the N and S lanes. I was very lucky to not have been hit by any vehicles traveling in the left lane as traffic was quite heavy. Somehow I remained conscious. Injuries included three broken ribs, broken clavicle, three broken bones in lumbar area and road rash to both legs and back. I have been in the hospital for 8 days so far. I anticipate being here for another 4or 5 days. Fortunately, I was wearing good protective gear (nylon jacket and pants w/ armor, Shoei full face helmet, gloves, and MC boots.). I am 69 and am in good shape, but the human body is not designed to withstand this amount of trauma. The pain has been horrific. My family never liked me riding in the first place so now I am getting a lot of pressure to quit riding. I guess I will make that decision in the future.

Even with pain considered, you are blessed. I have been saying for many years (I am 79, been riding for 65-66 years) I do not know if I will get back on if I go down on a road bike. We all have to do what we feel is right for us. We will pray for a rapid healing.

As an understatement of the year that really sucks. Glad you survived with only the injuries you incurred. Hopefully they got the person that caused the accident and he gets hung out to dry. Lived in Tampa for 27 years and it seemed to me that all the bridges were treated as racetracks (and the Gandy actually was in days or nights gone by). Get well soon.

Ouch..! PRAYERS going out for you....

I traveled that bridge twice each day for years, and I saw more idiot drivers than most can imagine... people doing 65 mph when the fog was so thick, that you couldn't see more than 50 feet ahead....

Hope the healing goes quickly...

This could have been a lot worse. There is a very good reason for wearing protective clothing. Glad you are on the mend. Take your time healing, but as soon as you can, start moving around and walking. I hope you don't give up riding. Take care.

Prayers going out to you and your family...:pray:
Heal quickly and completely... You can always make any decision later.

But the likely hood of this re-occurring are IMHO slim to none..........I know if it ever comes a time when I have to give everything up for Safety sake or worse I'll just pull the plug and be done with it ............Mike

Wow, I'm so glad that you were wearing protective gear, I can't imagine how much worse it could have been if you had not been wearing it. I hope you get out of the hospital soon.

Thanks for letting us know . . . .

. . . . we can all use a reminder how dangerous life is on the road.

I hope you continue to mend and get back to your life as soon as is possible. I am your age and know how tough it can be.

I will be thinking of you, please stay in touch.

Tom

Wow, very lucky! 8 days already in the hospital, yikes, I looked at your profile and see you like golf, hope you got to watch the Masters, and hope you will get back on the course.

i also see you had an 11 rss with lots of custom dynamics brake lighting, were you able to outfit the F3 yet with additional lighting yet? And would it have made a difference?

please keep us informed of your progress, and thank your lucky stars, glad you had a good helmet and armor.
