• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I guess that we should feel a bit bad about this...

I doubt the species has a chance . . . even if all rhino poachers were magically stopped, right now, forever, only five Northern White Rhinos remain . . . the gene pool most likely isn't big enough to bring back a viable species . . . they would be so inbred that every recessive gene would be popping up, including all the bad ones . . .

You are correct, it is the poaching for their horns that has doomed them to extinction. The same thing is happening to both African & Asian elephants. All because some people think that the powderd tusks or horns can be an aphrodisiac. Sad to say, it is all driven by greed.

It isn't just the Asian medicine trade . . . men in Yemen prize rhino horn for their knife handles . . .
