• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just got the Cee Bailey 21" shield, but don't think its right for me. I keeps wind off my chest OK but much buffeting/head boggle. I am 5'6" and have been reading all the posts on the Cal Sci, EVO, and the adjustable from Industries7 (CHAD?) i'm totally confused on which is which and what is the EVO, etc. Could some please explain what's what as far as the different names of the shields. Before I send the Ceebailey back I have to know what to order insead.

What is a laminar lip anyhow? What are they made out of? What do they do?
I tried a laminar lip and after extensive adjustment I ditched it. It just did not help and the air off the BRP touring screen was still turbulent. In my opinion we are all different heights and have different riding positions so the answer needs to have some adjustment.

I recently fitted Industries 7 adjustable screen (Chad) and that seems like the answer, for me anyway. See http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8071

i have the evo slider and it seems to be a good compromise between protection and looks as i do not want a big ol touring windshield
i never had a windshield on any other bikes so i dont have anything to refer back to but with slider all the way up wind seems to be hitting upper part of my helmet and i do get little bobble head action at high speed
its been like 45-60 degrees here and i have no problem ryding with half helmet and goggle and neck fuzzy
that little extension for hand protection is big plus

Does the CHAD do anything for hand protection?

It seems to have good hand coverage - bit hard to tell as its so hot here currently.
See image below and you can see the ends of the bars and the coverage- I have nomagic neon 3" risers,
