I took my front wheels off my RS yesterday for the first time (putting on new tires). I loosen the lug nuts on one side and then jacked up that side and removed the tire. The surprise was when I went to the other wheel and tried to loosen the lug nuts I was able to spin the tire on the smooth concrete floor!
I ended up putting the first tire back on and lowering it back down so I could loosen the lug nuts on the opposite side. After that it was no problem to jack up each side and remove each tire. It may have just been a special set of circumstances but if you are removing both front tires on an RS you may want to loosen the lug nuts on each side before jacking up and putting the stand on your first side. It could save you some time.
